- Wow you guys are pregnant, so when are you going to get married?
We will eventually get married but on our time. We are not going to try and rush to the alter just because there is a little monkey on the way. We are taking things one at a time and when we feel we're ready, it'll happen. Until then we are perfectly happy living together in a loving and committed relationship.
2. Claudia, you were raised Catholic and Hov was raised Jewish- what will you do about the baby?
We were raised different religions but neither of us is religious at all. We haven't practiced either religion in so long we can't even remember when the last time was. What we do know is the basic teachings are the same and we will raise our child with the principles we think are most important which are to basically be a good person and the golden rule. We don't think you need religion to do that. This does mean we won't have the traditional religious ceremonies that go along with each religion, I'm sure it'll take people a little time to get used to that. We are OK with it and that's what matters.
3. You're pregnant, do you know if it's a boy or a girl?
No, it's still too early to tell and we don't want to know. It is going to be a surprise until the baby comes out. We will have two names picked out, one for a boy and one for a girl and that's that. No, we won't be painting the nursery yellow and only purchasing gender neutral colors. Babies are in onesies the first few months anyway. Once the baby is born then we can go ahead and go nuts with gender specific clothing in boy/girl colors even though I don't think that's really important.
4. Is your family excited?
They were of course in shock at first but most of them have come around. My siblings are most excited I think (specifically my sister Ariel) and then the level of excitement goes down to my dad, Hov's extended family, Hov's dad, my mom, my extended family then my grandparents. Haven't heard from other parts of the family but that's OK, what matters is that we are happy and excited and so are the people who are closest to us!
Both of us feel the same way- we would love for everyone to be as excited as we are but each person is entitled to his/her own opinion. We will choose to only surround ourselves with positivity as we think this is a blessing and we couldn't be happier.
5. Can you feel the baby move?
Not yet but I am looking forward to it and will post as soon as it happens!!!!
